Activities to promote consumption in autumn kick off

A series of activities to promote consumption in Xiangxi Tujia and Miao Autonomous Prefecture kicked off in Jishou on the morning of September 16, 2022. The 3rd Ethnic Food Competition was held, and the government consumption vouchers were issued at the same time, providing the ethnic food carnival and the consumption feast for Xiangxi people.
The government consumption vouchers will be issued from September 16 to December 8, running through the “Five-One” series of activities of the super consumption season of accommodation and catering, sales activities of Xiangxi agricultural products, the “Double 11” online as well as offline shopping festival, the consumption month of auto show in autumn and rural revitalization of special products exhibition. The government will join hands with the UnionPay to issue more than 90,000 consumption vouchers with a total value of 7.1 million yuan. The business concessions will exceed 70 million yuan.
Meanwhile, 28 enterprises taking part in famous ingredients exhibition as well as over 90 catering enterprises and individuals from 9 counties and urban areas in the prefecture participated in the 3rd Ethnic Food Competition. Well-known food connoisseurs and public judges were invited to review and score the participating works on site. A total of 20 famous dishes, 10 renowned chefs, 10 popular restaurants and 10 Xiangxi snacks were selected and awarded medals on site.
